AFTER BAPTISM- WHAT THEN?

AFTER BAPTISM- WHAT THEN?

We are all Christians, we understand that one must hear the word, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized.
That’s all there is to being saved –RIGHT? WRONG!!!!!
As the old time preachers used to say (you can go to hell on one side of the creek just as easy as on the other).
Paul told the Colossians in Chapter 1: 21. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23. IF ye CONTINUE IN THE FAITH grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
What does that mean “CONTINUE IN THE FAITH”? Well it means we have to be at services to when we meet, IF there isn’t something more important we would like to do!
NO THERE IS MORE TO IT THAN THAT! And there is more to it than just being a member of a “sound” church. We will not reach heaven on the church of Christ train. We will be judged on what “WE” have done REV 20:13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged “every man” according to their works. NOT ON THE WORKS OF A CONGREATION.
SO WHAT IS CONTINUE IN THE FAITH? 1 Pet.3:18. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Then he says KNOWLEDGE –
Phil.1: 9. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
Col.1: 9. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
(Godly wisdom only comes with knowledge) How do we get KNOWLEDGE ?
2 Tim.2: 15. Give diligence to present yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth.
BY BEING DILLIGENT TO LEARN WHAT GOD SAYS AND HANDLING IT CORRECTLY. (knowing how to apply it to our lives)
